For optimal safety, always ensure the mattress is placed flat in the cot.
The airnest Cot Mattress does not require a mattress protector, as the mattress and cover are fully washable. For families wanting additional protection during periods of illness, frequent leaks or toilet training, we recommend the Growbright airnest Waterproof Mattress Protector & Comfort Topper. If using any mattress protector, ensure it is well fitted and designed for infant mattresses.
To help reduce the risk of injury or suffocation, ensure the mattress is the correct size for your cot. When centred on the mattress base, there should be no more than a 20mm gap from any side or end, and no more than 40mm when the mattress is pushed to one side or end.
